Isn't that the airport?

JP: Why are we flying over the airport?

RS: Maybe we're going to the other airport?

Lilongwe has one airport, one runway, zero radar. We learn later that the airport does not have radar, so planes do a flyby, make contact with the tower, execute crazy maneuvers, and then land.

(If you're wondering where Lilongwe is, heck, if you're even wondering where Malawi is, look here)

So after leaving Los Angeles on Friday evening, back to back red-eyes with stops in London and Johannesburg, about 12,000 miles, 5 meals on airplanes and a few hours of playing Shanghai, we finally arrive in Lilongwe, Malawi on Sunday afternoon (roughly 32 hours later).

Once through customs and a quick bag search, we see a couple friendly faces and get into a smelly car ...
